I almost threw up a little when I first saw the trailer. I don't think I can sit through an entire movie with Bale looking like that.

I'm still unsure of the wisdom of having Bale's Batman sing in an operatic falsetto, and casting John Malkovitch as Alfred.

Click the image for the making-of trailer. He is out of his mind to do that to himself for a movie role. He starved himself from 180 down to 120 for this, and then he gained it all back in six weeks to get ready for Batman. BAD IDEA.

He just did a little interview somewhere (the URL escapes me) where he mentioned that this sent him to a doctor a few times, and that he regained the weight in the most unhealthy of ways. He says, with his usual understated Brit-ism, that "it's all sorted now."

All I know is that is some crazy dedication to your craft. I don't have the willpower to stop eating cheeseburgers much less starve myself to Dachau proportions.

Kinda reminiscent of the appearance of Donnie "butterball" Walberg at the beginning of "The Sixth Sense". That's just ultra-creepy.

Oh, ok, so that wasn't Bale as Bruce Wayne. Cause that would have completely ruined the Batman franchise for me (if the previous two movies hadn't).
