We can spell and have functioning brain cells. Just listen to "rap" music. For five seconds. In that five seconds, you have probably killed a few thousand brain cells. Punk rock is very similar in this respect.
Imagine what happens if you listen for a couple of hours to this stuff. Then people wonder at the falling SAT's in this country...
