John Dickerson at Slate says:
If Cheney had handled this right, it would have been a one-day story.
Oh, come on. The Vice President, any Vice President, accidentally shooting somebody could ever be a one-day story? Particularly in a media environment where, say, pondering whether the turkey that the President presented at Thanksgiving was plastic, or whether his back brace was feeding him answers during a debate, those aren't one-day stories? Does this guy even know what the word "day" means?
